Amplitude hits funding goal, coming to PS3 and PS4

The PlayStation-exclusive rhythm game has met its goal, but there are still stretch goals to aim for!

It may have seemed a little touch-and-go, but with less than 24 hours left to go, the Harmonix-developed music game Amplitude has met it's $775,000 funding goal.

If you were on the fence, you can still contribute to the game's Kickstarter.

So who are the bands that will be contributing music to the game? In addition to the Harmonix originals, the Kickstarter page revealed the following bands:

The only Kickstarter campaign I'd kick money to is one to make another Red Faction.

We can kick in craploads to make more rhythm games (or even Shaq Fu), but we still can't raise enough money to find a cure for cancer.

Puts things in perspective.

And yes, cash cures diseases.  Watch the Magic Johnson AIDS episode of South Park :)

Don't worry devs we will not only buy your games, we will fund the development of them too.

Maybe we could even make them for you? And you get %100 profits. Yay.

Wouldn't Sony budget the rest now?

I think "The Point" had a little something to do with it ;)

I would've liked this game to also come to PC but oh well.

TBH, I am just curious who got the dinner with Tim Schafer?

I donated $40 and popped my Kickstarter cherry! Interestingly, I think I slept with someone at Harmonix too but sadly, they did not pop my cherry :/.

Congrats to the team, glad they made their target price. Now I hope they make one hell of a game.

Sweet! I had a feeling it would make it - these things always kick into high gear near the finish line

Checked this out after seeing it on The Point and thought this had a snowballs chance. Glad they made it.

Time to jeer at those in the PC crowd who thought this wouldn't happen

I can see this being a search result nightmare as the name is so close to an already established guitar amping/re-amping software from IK Multimedia.

Amplitude, Amplitube.

@spacecadet25 Because a lot of those issues are systematically kept to create profit in certain industries.

Same can be said for actual green energy, sustainability, transportation, and completely unnecessary laws because there are large groups of people that oppose it because it will cut into their power, fueled by currency hoarding.

@TristanPR77 Sadly, it is Sony's IP. Most crowd-funded games comes first to PC, then consoles in later stretch goals.

@tom2750 @gajbutler  Titanfall is damn good though.  I don't know if it's better than Infamous, but I like to pimp Titanfall when I can.  I like the bots in the multiplayer, everyone of all skill levels can enjoy the game.

@lanmanna @Lach0121 Amplitude came out in 2003, Amplitube came out in 2002. So on that you are incorrect

But since they have both been out that long (I didn't realize that Amplitude has been around for that long) it shouldn't be so bad. (search engine wise)
