Sega of America has announced the release of its music-dance game Samba de Amigo for the Sega Dreamcast. In the game, players shake their maracas or use the Dreamcast controller in tune with a diverse lineup of Latin tunes. The game's soundtrack includes such songs such as La Bamba, Livin' La Vida Loca, Macarena, and Cup of Life.

"Samba de Amigo is a proven hit from the arcades - it was natural that we would enhance it and bring it home with a maraca peripheral and new online elements," said Stacey Kerr, product manager for Sega of America. "We expect Samba to be a big hit with both novice and hard-core gamers alike. It's easy to play, but difficult to master."

You can own Samba the Amigo for US$39.99. The maracas are sold separately for $79.99.
