Simon & Schuster Interactive announced today that its Amateur League Golf is now available in stores. Players choose a golfer from a list of oddball characters and then play in a tournament or exhibition. Two public courses are included in the game: Newark Municipal Golf Course in New Jersey and Mosquito Greens in Okeechobee, Florida. These courses are host to many hazards, ranging from the typical sand traps to alligators and murderous gangsters. Caddies in the game are fodder for the players; if they give the player the wrong advice, the player can beat them up.

Amateur League Golf has a suggested retail price of US$19.95.
