Alone in the Dark 4 now on EB1.com

Electronics Boutique has announced the online premiere of Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, Infogrames' latest survival-horror game. The game is now available for rental on EB1.com, Electronics Boutique's broadband game service. Between now and 3:00pm EDT on June 27, visitors to EB1 can rent the game before it arrives in stores for $4.99 for 48 hours. In addition, those who rent the game will receive a coupon from EB1 giving them a $4.99 credit toward the purchase of the boxed version of the game from EBgames.com.

This premiere is the first time a major game has been released in an online rental format before its retail release. Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is the latest game in the popular Alone in the Dark survival-horror game series. It was developed by Spiral House Entertainment, and it will be available in stores later this week for an approximate retail price of $39.95.
