Allied Assault unstoppable

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, EA's popular World War II action game, retains the top spot on NPD's latest list of best-selling games.

Electronic Arts' World War II action game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault took the number-one spot once again on NPD Techworld's latest weekly list of best-selling games. The popular first-person shooter has retained the lead in the sales race since its debut in mid-January. EA's latest virtual-life game expansion, The Sims: Hot Date, took second place, followed by Sierra's NASCAR Racing 2002 Season, an updated version of the popular stock car racing game NASCAR Racing 4. EA's virtual-life game The Sims came in fourth place, and Infogrames' theme-park management game RollerCoaster Tycoon took fifth.
