Wow, the Playstation Now thing sounds amazing.  That means you could potentially play something like Dark Souls or Demons Souls on a PS Vita.  That's badass!

Failed to mention SUB $1000 50" Vizio 4K displays capable of true 60fps. These new displays will be incredibly important to gamers using steam machines and PC's since large screens, crystal clear graphics and high frame-rates are the holy grail in terms of presentation. With any luck I can run 3 of them in 2D surround mode using my 2- GTX 780's in SLI.

Way to go at jumping on their s**ty bandwagon, if you already have a game from ps3, 2 or 1 then you should be able to put the disc into the ps4 and then you stream that particular game for free, what a cheek.

Nice that there's a way to do this but charging people for something they already got is just a bull s**t scandal. They could just do an update for the ps4 that's got like a built in emulator(pc can do this easily, and that's not even official software) then you can just put a game disc in from the older consoles and then either download it and play or just play from a disc.

I'm not surprised that steam box is such a rip off being made by alienware, just like a 'game ready' mac, ridiculous. People need to read and talk more then they can get to building their own great pc's and maybe customize it too(only limited to your own imagination), saves so much money doing it this way too.

Bit weird they announce PS Now just for US when Europe pretty much has the best internet across the world.

I can't use OnLive because my internet isn't fast enough. I hope PlaystationNow works. If they can nail this for slower connections mine being about 2MB, my choice of console just swung its ass over to the PS4s side again. If not I'm edging Xbox One still.

And we learnt that film directors can't remember lines. Not gaming news, but funny enough to get another mention anyway.

so basicly sony are trolls and are winning, MS is failing and these steam machines look like over priced mini pc's that you can build cheaper as a pc. oww and now you can play old games on ps3 4 vita and other stuff which will be cool if you never got the play the games or had the consoles.

@Johny_47 If you have the discs then at some point you had the machine too. They didn't make you get rid of the machine, they just offered you a convenience.

@Talis12 And by Europe you mean South Korea. Europe's internet is no better than America's.

@neowarrior121 The 'I can build this PC cheaper myself' is the dumbest argument ever. The entire point of these things is that you do not have to build them yourself.

Whenever someone feels like ordering a pizza are you also quick to comment: dude, you can make those cheaper yourself?

@ExtremePhobia@Johny_47 how is it convenient to spend money on something you already have? stop being a fanboy and realize you are being stupid and getting scammed.

@Grenadeh Actually South Korea is #4 in the world after Hong Kong, Japan and Romania. USA is #11. There's 13 European countries in the top 20.

@dayo2326@ExtremePhobia@Johny_47well if you already have it then you wont be needing the playstation now dumbass.....  its for people who "dont" or "cant" play their older playstation games for numerous reasons, maybe their older Playstation broke, maybe the disc is so scratched the machine doesn't even read it anymore? Don't see the competition doing ANYTHING simular to this, its quite an achievement to stream games... do you even comperehend the technology behind it? no... your too busy saying stupid shit to other peoples proper replies thats why.... no whos really the fanboi around here? hmm?

ExtremePhobia
ExtremePhobia

@Grenadeh I'm assuming that they are going by average, in which case the number of people really isn't important. The big difference is density. There's less wasted bandwidth in higher densities. While they might fight a little for bandwidth during peak hours (which is uniform for the whole country usually, unlike the US which spans time zones), off peak hours, anybody using the internet is going to get pretty great speeds.

Grenadeh
Grenadeh

@Talis12 @Grenadeh I see. My statement is still valid though - the only thing that makes most of those countries rank higher is the fact that they have way, way, way less people than the United States using the same quality internet as the united states, so the bandwidth is pretty evenly spread.
