Airborne Assault: Highway to the Reich announced

Matrix Games and Panther Games announce that they are working on a follow-up to the WWII strategy game Airborne Assault: Red Devils Over Arnhem.

Matrix Games and Panther Games have today announced that they've entered into a partnership aimed at producing new wargames based on the Airborne Assault engine. The first game to come out of the partnership will be Airborne Assault: Highway to the Reich, which, in addition to the WWII battles for Arnhem covered in Red Devils Over Arnhem, will cover the remaining Operation Market Garden battles for both Nijmegen and Eindhoven.

"Panther Games' new Airborne Assault: Highway to the Reich will showcase one of the most outstanding yet relatively unknown wargames of the past few years," said David Heath, director of operations at Matrix Games. "We're excited to have a chance to work with the Panther Games team and to bring their revolutionary designs to wargamers around the world."

"Over the last year, Matrix Games has shown itself to be a leader in wargame development, distribution, and publishing," said Dave O’Connor, president of Panther Games. "Forging a relationship with the fast-growing Matrix Games team will help us to reach as large an audience as possible with our wargames without watering down our designs."

We'll bring you more information on Airborne Assault: Highway to the Reich as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime you might like to check out our full review of Airborne Assault: Red Devils Over Arnhem, which was released in June last year.
