AIAS announces DICE creative summit

A number of famous game designers will attend the upcoming convention in Las Vegas.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) has announced that the DICE creative summit will be held February 28-March 1, 2002, at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. DICE--which stands for design, innovate, communicate, entertain--will coincide with the fifth annual Interactive Achievement Awards.

A number of famous game designers will speak at the event, including Sid Meier, the creator of the Civilization series; Will Wright, the creator of the SimCity series and The Sims; Larry Probst, CEO of Electronic Arts; Jason Rubin, creator of Crash Bandicoot; David Freeman, cowriter of Shiny Entertainment's upcoming Matrix game; Lorne Lanning, creator of Abe's Oddysee; American McGee, creator of American McGee's Alice; Louis Castle, general manager of Westwood Studios; Richard Garriott, creator of the Ultima series of role-playing games; Mark Cerny, producer of the Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon series; and Bruce Shelley, creator of the Age of Empires series.
