Anarchy Enterprises has today confirmed that it plans to release Age of Castles for the PC before the end of 2003. The fantasy-themed strategy game will see players assuming the role of one of five kings, converting peasants into loyal followers, and then building a mighty castle while battling with more than 60 different types of enemies, including goblins, orcs, and dragons.

Age of Castles will feature 18 locations for players to explore, including goblin ruins, the River Styx, and an elven forest. Players will be able to purchase magic items to upgrade their kingdoms, and, as they progress through the game, they'll encounter dozens of nonplayer characters and will have to contend with thousands of different random events.

We'll bring you more information on Age of Castles as soon as it becomes available.
