While we like to buy our gaming buddies a game for the holidays, nothing is better than giving one game and pocketing a second one for free. Well, Activision's Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer has already started (it ends on December 31).

All you need to do is go to Activision's site and head on over to the Activision store. While the offer is fairly limited in the scope of titles, it might be a good way to score some free software as added holiday gifts.

"We have fantastic software titles available for all gamers, age groups and platforms with new low prices starting under $10.00," states Eric Johnson, Sr. Vice President of Marketing for Activision. "Add to this our great 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' offer and you have one of the easiest ways for consumers to get several of the most sought-after games at super low prices this holiday season."

Here's the listing from Activision on what you'll be able to grab hold of if you buy any of its latest titles:

PC Games:- Purchase a copy of Teen Digital Diva and receive a free copy of the best-selling puzzle game Shanghai: Great Moments.- Purchase Asteroids and receive a free copy of Game Vault 2, a compilation of seven original adventure games.- Purchase MechWarrior 2 and receive a free copy of the expansion pack, MechWarrior 2: Ghost Bear's Legacy.

PlayStation:- Purchase a copy of Activision Classics and receive a free copy of the no-holds-barred 3D wrestle-fest, Power Move Pro Wrestling.

DVD-ROM Games:- Purchase a DVD version of Zork Grand Inquisitor and receive a free copy of the hit PC CD-ROM game Zork Nemesis.
