Activision has announced that it has secured the worldwide publishing and distribution rights to Fox Interactive's PlayStation game, World's Scariest Police Chases. Currently, the game is being developed exclusively for the Sony PlayStation by European studio Unique Development Studios.

"The acquisition of World's Scariest Police Chases underscores our goal of delivering top-quality interactive entertainment based on highly recognizable licenses," Kathy Vrabeck, executive vice president of worldwide publishing and global brand management at Activision, said. "The brand familiarity and action-packed gameplay will challenge and entertain gamers and the show's fan base."

The game's presentation borrows generously from the Fox television show of the same name. As with the TV show, retired Sheriff Jon Bunnell provides the running commentary.
