Activision Says No Tenchu

Activision has informed GameSpot News that the latest title in the Tenchu series is not currently planned for a US release. Available in Japan starting today, Tench: Shinobi Hyakusen features 100 new missions for Tenchu fans to make their way through. Interestingly, the missions in the new game were designed by Tenchu players using Tenchu: Tora No Maki (an upgraded US version of Tenchu with an added level editor that was released in Japan).

The next Tenchu installment, Tenchu II, is a full sequel to the original title and will be released in the first quarter of 2000.
