Activision Launches Golden Bear Challenge

Activision announced Monday that it has launched the sixth game in the Jack Nicklaus golf series, Jack Nicklaus 6: Golden Bear Challenge.

Featuring six courses, including the Sherwood Country Club and Nicklaus North in Whistler, Canada, the Golden Bear Challenge lets players play as Nicklaus (or against him), as well as provides voice tips from the Golden Bear himself and commentary from CBS sportscasters Jim Nantz and Gary McCord.

"Jack Nicklaus 6: Golden Bear Challenge is hitting the retail channel at a great time," said Eric Johnson, senior vice president of marketing at Activision. "We are taking advantage of April's golf tournaments including The Tradition and Michael Douglas and Friends celebrity golf tournament by running TV advertising during their broadcasts and expect that this exposure will shine a spotlight on the sport and inspire both computer and sports fans alike to play as, or with, the greatest golfer of the 20th century, Jack Nicklaus."
