Acclaim Entertainment announced Tuesday it had signed an agreement with Dualstar Interactive to produce and ship two games (for both the PC and Game Boy Color) geared toward growing girls. The games will be released in time for the holiday season.

Dualstar Interactive is a division of Dualstar Entertainment Group, centered around teen stars Mary-Kate and Ashley. The twins will be featured in the upcoming games Mary-Kate and Ashley's Dance Party of the Century - "a dancing tour through the 20th century and beyond" - and The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley - a more traditional adventure/puzzle game.

Both actresses will also be involved in the creation and development of the games, as well as the promotional and marketing aspects.

"Mary-Kate and Ashley represent one of the strongest brands in the entertainment industry with over 30 million books, videos, and records sold," said Steven Lux, vice president of marketing for Acclaim. "As the video game market continues to charge into mass-market territory, the combination of the high-profile Mary-Kate and Ashley license and Acclaim's game development, marketing, and distribution strength will result in a unique and powerful position for our new girls' software in the market place."
