Acclaim has announced that it has secured the publishing rights for the PlayStation 2 versions of Sega's Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future and Headhunter. In Ecco the Dolphin, players once again assume the role of Ecco as he tries to solve a variety of different underwater puzzles, some of which involve other aquatic animals such as whales and jellyfish. Headhunter places players in a time when human organs have replaced money as the standard currency. As Jack Wade, players must solve the mystery behind the murder of the AntiCrime network's chief and help Jack regain his identity and memory.

Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future is scheduled for release at the end of February. Headhunter should hit store shelves in the spring. New screenshots from both games can be found by clicking the gamespace links above.
