Mirra to stay in the Acclaim family through 2007.

Acclaim has re-signed professional BMX rider Dave Mirra to an exclusive strategic licensing sponsorship agreement. The five-year deal puts the Acclaim logo on Mirra's bike and helmet and ensures that we'll be seeing sequels to the Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX series for some time to come.

Series creator Z-Axis is currently at work on Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 3, which will hit the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. The new game will feature 17 top BMX riders, including Dave Mirra himself. It is also currently scheduled to feature 10 levels, new motion-captured animation, and more than 1,700 tricks.

We'll have more on Dave Mirra 3 as it becomes available. Acclaim's next alternative sports title is Aggressive Inline, which is also currently being developed at Z-Axis and is scheduled for a midyear release.
