Academy Calls for Nominations

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences announces a call for nominations for the second annual IAAs.

The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) announced that it is accepting nominations for the second annual Interactive Achievement Awards. The awards ceremony will be held the first evening of the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 13.

There are 30 different online, computer, and console categories, highlighted by the all-important Game of the Year award. Individual craft awards will also be given for outstanding achievement in art/graphics, interactive design, sound/music, software engineering, and story or character development.

Products released between April 1, 1998, and February 28, 1999, will be eligible for an award. Nominations must be received by March 1, 1999. Information on the awards is available at the AIAS web site.
