505 Games announced today that it is working with Los Angeles-based game studio Kung Fu Factory on a fighting game called MMA Supremacy for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The publisher's statement today offered few details on the project but did confirm it for appearing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week.

Kung Fu Factory is an independent development house made up of talent behind fighting games Ultimate Fighting Championship for Dreamcast, Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, UFC 2009 Undisputed, and others.

505 isn't the only publisher embroiled in the fighting game genre, though. THQ has the rights to UFC's trademarks through 2011 and debuted UFC Undisputed 2010 last month. Additionally, Electronic Arts will feature Strikeforce, a mixed martial artist league, in its upcoming EA Sports MMA, set to release sometime in 2010.
