Atari today announced Atari's Greatest Hits: Volume 1, a new classics compilation for Nintendo's popular portable. The title packs in 50 Atari 2600 and arcade titles, including popular games Pong, Asteroids, Centipede, and Space Duel. The game is due out in North America this fall.

For those who don't want to play the dated games alone, Atari has updated 20 of the titles with single-card multiplayer. Unfortunately, Atari only confirmed that Pong and Space Duel would receive the special multiplayer treatment.

Additionally, the collection will include a digital copy of each game's manual, an Atari memorabilia showcase, and an Atari trivia minigame, where players race against the clock to answer history questions about the company.
