3DO lowers loss
The game publisher reports a smaller loss in the quarter ended June 30, exceeding analysts' expectations.
Game publisher 3DO has announced revenues of $13.3 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2001, an increase of 37 percent over the same quarter last year. The company reported a loss of $8.6 million for the quarter, down from $24.3 million in last year's first quarter. 3DO released several new games during the quarter, including the medieval team-based combat game Legends of Might and Magic for the PC.
