@GIF Too bad there's no Fry's in New York. Looks like I'm going to GameStop for the $30 1-year PS+ subscription.

Fry's Electronics >>> Best Buy >>> Target >>> steaming pile of shit >>> Walmart

But in all seriousness, I might go there to pick up some PS+ subscriptions and maybe a few games on PC and/or PS3.

Fixed that for you.

wait till january and you can have all of these deals without killing each other in line, its called a price drop.

@Sikrion Yeah, to me it's not worth the madness for the savings.  I would love me a 3DS XL for $150 but it's not worth the 50 bucks savings for the carnage of Black Friday one has to endure. Vita is a great deal if you are getting a PS4, even at regular price of 200.

@Sikrion I always enjoy bringing a cattle prod to the mall. It helps part the masses so I can swoop in for the best deals.

@Sikrion Why wait another month or so, especially if you've already been waiting: you can have these deals now without "killing each other", it's called shipping.

I got my 360 there at the store on Hamilton in San Jose. Frys started out as a grocery store and when the sons inherited it, John Fry turned it into electronics store. He has an 18 hole PGA golf course at his home in Gilroy. Been there on deliveries. Dude's got serious bank.

It does seem that many of the goods they sell are second rate from Asia. Many people in the return lines. I did buy a phone charger that didn't work and a set of headphones that I immediately checked after buying....and sure enough, they didn't work. Return line is very fast. They know what they're doing.....because there are alot of returns.

My 360 and 42" Panasonic plasma work fine, though. I bought it and a week later it was $500 less. They gave me the difference in store credit, otherwise a check would be mailed.

Great deals for anyone not jumping to next gen for awhile. For me the vita finally hit a price point worth picking up, especially with ps4 functionality and teraway out

@maniacalpoet People who only have one of last gen's consoles and need the other, or PC gamers who want to play exclusives.

Edit: Next gen don't have many games right now.

Sikrion

@maniacalpoet because while the new gen is still developing you can pay less for games hardware and the like while having access to a massive backlog of games without the waiting. If you don't play online it is a fantastic idea.

VelvetKevorkian

@maniacalpoet I will. There are still a lot of games I want to play on last-gen, which I cannot do on Xbox One / PS4 & I don't feel like waiting around for them to push out digital versions of older games.

Ganondorf75
Ganondorf75

@maniacalpoet That is a broad/vague question if I ever heard one.  Mostly because it implies that buying the most recently released product is always the more sensible thing to do: when there are clearly several factors that truly determine what you buy--price obviously being one of them, but still, there are more.

Counterexample: My coworker had planned on getting the Iphone 5 on release, but actually purposely bought another (brand new) 4s cause he claimed the 5 felt "cheap" to him.

Also, as someone who probably owns a current gen console already, it's easy to say "buy new".  But when options are: a) Jump on next-gen in all its premium-priced glory (which is a respectable route), or b) ride the bargain filled coattail of last gen--the 'benefits' of option A) take a backseat.

@JordanizPro Oh the crappiest version of Skyrim is PS3's.

Dark-horseman is right. That version is nearly unplayable. You have been warned.

Does this even apply to  PS4s PS+ subs?

I don't like Fry's. They do not take care of their components.

Anyway, Shenmue III confirmed!
