Just a few days after Microsoft confirmed a worldwide Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 bundle, its UK division has announced that another bundle will be racing into British stores in time for Christmas with the portentously named Xbox 360 Forza Motorsport 3 Super Elite Bundle.
The bundle will be available on the same day as Forza 3's launch, October 23, and is priced at £249.99. It's almost identical to the Modern Warfare 2 bundle, sans the camouflage-themed paint job and a copy of that game. It includes a 250GB hard drive, two Xbox 360 wireless controllers, an Xbox 360 headset, and the standard edition of Forza Motorsport 3. Unike the MW2 bundle, it does not look like the Forza 3 bundle will be limited to any one retailer.
It seems that Microsoft might still have a third hardware bundle in the pipeline for this holiday season, with unconfirmed reports suggesting that a European Halo 3: ODST bundle is also in the works. According to gaming blog Kotaku, the Halo 3: ODST hardware bundle contains a 120GB Xbox 360 Elite, a controller, copies of Halo 3: ODST and Halo 3, and access to Halo: Reach's beta program. At the time of publication, neither UK nor US Microsoft reps had returned requests for confirmation.
Meanwhile, Sony may have bundle plans of its own, and leaked product shots of a 250GB Uncharted 2 PlayStation 3 bundle have surfaced in the US. Pricing and a release date weren't mentioned as part of the rumour. However, Uncharted 2 is set to arrive on October 16 in Europe and on October 13 in North America. Sony Computer Entertainment America has yet to confirm the bundle's existence to GameSpot.
