As the self-proclaimed No.1 Eastern European game publisher, 1C has made its reputation on the backs of PC games like IL-2 Sturmovik, Perimeter, and Space Rangers 2: Rise of the Dominators. Now the company is making a concentrated push into the console market.

This week, 1C confirmed that it would be publishing games for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and DS. The company will be bringing IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, the latest in its long line of PC World War II flight sims, to all four of those systems, and the long-in-development action-adventure Captain Blood will set sail for the Xbox 360.

1C has previously dabbled in the console world with Swashbucklers: Blue vs. Grey on the PlayStation 2 (published in cooperation with Atari). It also planned to release the sci-fi action-adventure Rage Rider (also known as Axle Rage) on the PC and PlayStation 2, but that project was canceled.
