14 Titanfall maps found by data miners

How much of the info dug out of the Titanfall beta will make it to the finished game?

by

Savvy data miners have scrubbed deep within the files of the Titanfall beta to unearth the names of 14 (maybe even 15) potential maps that could feature in the full game.

NeoGAF member RazorUK dug out the info, along with the map pictures. Reddit user no1dead then found a bunch of other data, such as a list of game modes, perks, ordinances, and weapons.

Alongside the Attrition, Hardpoint Capture, and Last Titan Standing modes featured in the beta, the data also suggests that regular Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag modes could also make it in the final game.

A fifteenth map, Training Ground, was also discovered--but its title and graphic suggest it takes place in the combat area used for the game's training mission.

There was also a suggestion in the files that the game might feature splitscreen multiplayer when it launches on March 11.

I'm lucky enough to own both ps4 and xbox one

The ps4 is a fantastic in just about every way performance and value for money

But I have to admit I have been spending much more time lately on my xbox one simply due to a lack of truly decent games on ps4

Yes killzone is good and looks even better but apart from this the exclusives are crap Sony need to push the exclusives they say its a games console for gamers but where are the games nearly all the decent games out so far are multiplatform

I do look forward to games such as the order 1886 but for now I'm sticking on my xbox one better exclusives so far and titanfall is very impressive just hope Sony bring it to the ps4

I finally got my BETA code today, it ends tomorrow. I'm not even gonna bother downloading it. I can wait for the final release.

Wow.. This does sound exciting.
If you're into multi-player shooters (which usually a majority gamers are) you're definitely gonna have a blast with this baby.

I'm actually considering to upgrade my PC for this.

Not alot of content for 60 bucks... How long will the fun last before people get tired of playing the same maps over and over again?

The way things are over at Microsoft Titanfall players will probably only get 8 maps the rest will be DLC. Every gen they get just a little more greedier.

only 14 maps, cmon, it is 60€ game with only multiplayer.

Can't wait to play Titanfall again. The game is amazing and it lived up to it's hype.

Plus the multiplayer campaign / story mode is really intriguing.

And the pros will end up playing the same 2-3 maps even if the game had 50 maps

The beta surprised me. I thought it was going to be like cod but its slower paced and the mechs are a breath of fresh air in fps.

I wasnt going to pick it up from the preview but playing the beta might have changed my mind..

PC of course I can't stand the lower quality on xbox trash

ah man, had to get in a few rounds before work. haven't played since sat. wow, if we get all of the above maps... i'm sold. people can and will whinge, but it's an epic shooter to play for half and hour or so. i'm a bf vet, so this is the perfect change of pace.

smart pistol is balanced, b/c it keeps people from camping (can lock onto a runner).

bots boost the immersion (they talk to you like you're special forces)

titans are like tanks and attack helis in bf (you need skill to dominate)

parkour (i love mirror's edge)

love you respawn,

I have seen Angry Joe and TotalBiscuit's beta playthrough and I just have to say that I am completely NOT interested in this game for only two very big reasons... Lack of physics and destructible/interactive environments. I would expect a next-gen game like Titanfall to feature destructible levels considering you have big mechs walking around should big ass bullets and rockets everywhere, not haveing destructible environments feels lazy and empty and devoid of complexity or uniqueness and without interactive maps with doors, bridges, switches and MANY other unique interactive elements, I just can't ever get into a game like this.

It is 2014 and all games needs to make heavy use of physics to make their worlds/environments feel alive and realistic, physics should be standard these days. This is just another lazy, barely original soulless money making machine for EA to rip people off with.

Will 10 of those maps be divided between the DLCs to be released throughout the year?

@sapey  yea, wish I had the money to get both right now so I've just got the PS4. Definitely gonna dust off the 360 for Stick of Truth but I think it wouldn't really be the true Titanfall if I were to play the 360 version. I think all the PS+ free games are pretty good, save Don't Starve, with the standouts being Resogun and Outlast, and in the former, a Platinum Trophy was achieved. Thief is multiplatform but Infamous is releasing in a few weeks so I'm definitely looking forward to that, and should look pretty awesome, and a reason to reacquaint yourself with the PS4.

@sapey sony has more games coming, not to mention the services they are working on. I just play AC4 hoping to get platinum since there isn't much to do on the console.

spartanx169x
spartanx169x

@GOGOHeadray For me , its not about the maps, its about the gameplay. If the gameplay is different that other shooters and each and every match is fun and yet different then its cool. For example, GOW3 is unique to any other shooter out there even to this day. Its fun each and every time I play. While other games have copied COD, GOW is its own game. Titanfall looks like COD, if you like that gameplay then it will be fun. If you get bored with that quickly then the game will not be for you(you as in any player, not you specifically).

@nortonblocksolo  You don't really need to bad mouth the Xbone when all the cold hard facts speak for themselves.

Unlike you Xbots who like to crap on Killzone because the devs gave us the OPTION to run it in 30fps. (really shows how yous don't have any better argument at all with your piece of crap TV box, lmfao)  At least Killzone runs in 1080p even if it doesn't hit 60fps consistently.  Titanfall looks way worse than Killzone, the beta's only in 792p and there are still many reports of constant screen tear issues and the frame rate dropping down to the 40s.  And all you fanbots consider this the Xbone's flagship title.  Heh.  I look forward to seeing how bad it gets when they up the resolution further in the final release.  Sorry, got to get back to playing PC Titanfall that's undeniably superior to your version.

g0ldenpr0pet
g0ldenpr0pet

@nortonblocksolo  Sure, buddy. Here's a reality check, I own a PS4 AND a PC. Know what that means? I have the better gaming console AND I get to play the best version of Titanfall (none of that sub-1080p crap). Like'm apples?

@Butt_Chunx  Man when you say it now, the lack of destructibility did bother me. I remember playing on Angel City, and I tried to shoot an enemy above me through grated ceiling. The bullets wouldn't go through. Even CoD let you shoot through some thin walls, but Titanfall didn't let you do any of that. Though I do love the rest of Titanfall.

GOGOHeadray
GOGOHeadray

@Butt_Chunx Even in BF3 on current gen we have destructible environments; it helps to change up tactics and diversifies gameplay.  At this point every shooter should have this element in it.

VakarianGirl
VakarianGirl

@Butt_Chunx  Yeah I agree with you 110%.

I've seen a few interviews where they questioned Respawn about the lack of destruction, and the fact that you have titans just flying harmlessly through terrain features like lamp poles etc.  Their answer - "It's more fun this way."

-_-

xeidog69
xeidog69

@spartanx169x @GOGOHeadray well then your in luck because it is very differant and extremely dynamic...I recommend Hard Point once your warmed up from attrition mode as capturing and defending points makes for a very intense and fast paced game. The beta has kept many playing on far less and I dont know about them but I have not felt bored one bit. I may hesitate to want to get back on but once I do im glued...serious couchlock..

_Silent_Jay_
_Silent_Jay_

@spartanx169x @niknokseyerIt's got a multiplayer campaign.  I'm not exactly sure how that's going to work, but it's got a storyline that weaves across the maps, and then it's got the straight ahead competitive multiplayer modes.

shooters125

@jk12324 @nortonblocksolo  Lol at the way you praise Ps4. You know that if you buy Titanfall for the PC, you're still giving Microsoft your money. Money that Microsoft will probably put towards the Xbox One. Congratulations, you have just supported those Xbots with your purchase. Not trying to be a fanboy or anything, but you aren't superior to anyone.

lucutisborg

@jk12324 @nortonblocksoloHehehe you console players with your inferior gaming devices. Spend $100 more on a PC and you get 1080p at 120fps constant. Teehee.

@jk12324 @nortonblocksolo  Holy shit. Just let people enjoy whatever console they want without bad mouthing another. Not that difficult. I had a 360 and PS3 last gen and definitely played both. Right now however I went with Xbox One and I don't regret it at all. Who gives a shit about which console is better. Heh. They are both great consoles with different exclusives and suit different audiences.

@19James89 @Grenadeh

well, I think respawn wanted it that way at least a little.  If its going to do well or even close to what cod does in terms of sales, it's going to have to appeal to a pretty wide audience.

Grenadeh
Grenadeh

@hella_epic @Grenadeh  The good parts of this discussion happened 4 hours ago. Everything now is troll douchery and, like i said, assholes who didn't play the beta whose opinions don't matter. Yes, it isn't revolutionary. Yes it is very much CoDlike. No one gives an honest shit how "indifferent" or "unimpressed" you are. Almost everyone who has played it loves it and that includes people who gave up interest in shooters.

repetitious
repetitious

I agree its for casuals, i was referencing an earlier comment he posted where he acted like he was a better person because he considers himself a hardcore gamer.

As for graphics punch, it has no impact on me or gameplay. I play on all platforms and if graphics were a concern i would have it on pc, but its not. And its no reason to be snobby either.

g0ldenpr0pet
g0ldenpr0pet

@repetitious  He's right...it is for casual gamers. Why is there such heavy auto-aim? Why are there AI grunts/minions/spectres? So casual and beginning players can also get Titans. The AI is ridiculously stupid as well...

The game is a lot of fun. Specially in 1080p/60fps goodness....
