United Offensive demo launched
The single-player demo will let PC gamers sign up for a brief tour with the Call of Duty expansion.
Activison has released a demo for Call of Duty: United Offensive, the expansion pack to its award-winning WWII shooter Call of Duty. Available on GameSpot DLX, the single-player demo features the introductory level of the game. The scenario puts players in the frostbitten boots of US GIs defending Bastogne, Belgium, from a massive German offensive during the Battle of the Bulge.
Besides the Americans, players can play as the British and Russians in United Offensive. The game's single-player campaign features more than a dozen missions in three different campaigns--the Battle of the Bulge (American), the invasion of Sicily (British), and the Battle of Kursk (Soviet). United Offensive also expands Call of Duty's multiplayer options, adding nearly a dozen new maps that are much larger than those in the original game.
