Battlefield 1942 beta testers needed

Electronic Arts has posted a beta test sign-up page for Battlefield 1942, its upcoming team-based action game set during World War II. The company will select 50 players from the applications submitted to help test the game. Those interested in participating in the test can sign up at the official Battlefield 1942 Web site

Battlefield 1942 will let players engage in combat at a variety of famous World War II battle sites in both single- and multiplayer modes. Battles will be set in locations such as Omaha Beach, Guadalcanal, Stalingrad, and Wake Island. Players will choose from several different character classes, and they will control dozens of different land, sea, and air vehicles from both the Axis and Allied forces.
