Decent shooter best suited for multiplayer.

User Rating: 5.5 | Army of Two PS3
The road of hell is paved with good intentions. Army of Two has great ideas poorly implemented. The single player has a bit to be desired, but the multiplayer is what this game is all about . The first thing you'll get out of the game is the horrible lines coming out of the main characters. It's Beavis and Butthead going to war, and calling some of their dialog cringe-worthy is an understatement. Even the interactions, like hi-fiving each other (which adds nothing to gameplay) that are meant to give the game a fun character, backfires because they're unbelievably annoying.

The meat of the game is the multiplayer, and if you find a buddy that can master the confusing button layout, you have the potential of having a blast. The level design allows some strategy into the shooting thanks to the aggro thing, that sounds like a name for something industrial. In single player, the computer AI is ok to handle, but there are some things that are not as fun to do as if you had a buddy to shoot some bad guys with. The story is fun, short and sweet and the dark humor works sometimes, specially when is not product of the meatheads starring in the game. Seriously, their dialog seems to be written by a 12-year-old.

I say take a look at it before you decide to get it. I think there are very good ideas in the game, the graphics and the sound are good. I hope they get it right next time.
