Not only is this game underated, but it is good enough to be compared to PSP games such as SOCOM, and hold its ground. You might have heard that this game has no action. That is correct, but it has a different sense of action. If you want. you can turn the game on to AI mode, and program the AI to have a unique fighting style. This is where the strategy comes in, along with the costumization. You will frequently find yourself thinking, "If this guy has a Rocket Launcher and Sniper, will a sword and some long range rifles counter it?" Also, you will customize your bot over and over again, until it beats the crap out of the other bot. At times, there are lots of small load times in armored core, and is one of the games flaws, along with the manual controls are terrible. Most of the time, you will let the AI control your mech, because its gonna be a helluva lot better then you are. all together, Armored Core is a unique, fun, game for the PSP, and I reccomend you rent it. This way you can see if you like it, then buy it, because this game is deffinatly not for everyone. But by no means is it not good. It's great!
