Take a look at how to command your team.
nice demonstration but we gave a lot of orders and maps too large
@fundude365 Yeah, I beat OF: Dragon Rising and I want to try Red River.
@Sixshooter13 Check out Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising; its in the same vein.
I hope this comes to the xbox. looks huge.
Uhagi - Did you even bother to look for a patch before posting? We are currently on patch 1.07 - They've delivered more patches then most games get in an entire lifespan.
So the game looks good and fun to play, however sad to say if there is no update on a game for a year the chances of it's birth does not look well.
whaat
Lol at the gesture antimation, amazing landsacape though
Is this actually ever going to come out on consoles? It's said To be Announced for a long time.
is it just me or is this game a repeat of every other version that is out?
of: it means operation flashpoint
of dragon rising is much better
"Why was it so hard for them to that down packed?" Huh?
DAMN I hate the voice acting. Why was it so hard for them to that down packed?
Worst. Commands. Ever. I thought they were bad in OF:DR, but this is something else!
I hope this game makes it to consoles as its been advertised, ill hate for it to be cancelled after the hype like world in conflict was.

The ad lead-in for this video was an Operation Flashpoint ad. I find that funny.
@dathill its funny because he kinda sounds like the in-game voice acting in this demonstration at time. maybe its not a coincidence? "MOVE 50 meters TO the FRONT!"
If AA2 came out for the Xbox360, it would be a definite buy for me, as I like my shooter's to be realistic and tactical. Those who slang the console's are just plain ignorant and hypocrites. I had OFP:Elite for the 1st Xbox, I even bought it in 2001 for PC, then purchased the GOTY Edition. As mentioned in the latter those who are mature minded and like their war genre types in a more mature tactical approach, then games like AA are the only types to satisfy their gaming quenches. Simple!!!
Looks cool :)
@avenger289 wat happened with voice commands in endwar??? On 360 they were decent.....
Console war noobs -_- anyway this game would be good if it didnt lag ^^
@MotoBomberXX17 ask me if i care; you xboxers get alot of games we never see, if we do its a thing of the past when we get it. i wish microsoft wasnt the rockefeller of the day, id so go mac so i dont have to put up with this "war" between microsoft jekyll's and hyde's. prime example, battlefield bad company. now ea tries washing this garbage on pc with a 2nd version? WE DONT WANT IT. WE WANT BF3. they sure as hell got enough money out of bf series. quit being cheap ea. P.S. whoever said BIS makes good games, get this game and youll hammer a nail thru your tongue into the back of your mouth.
Hmmm, it seems like it might have the potential to be a great strategic shooter... but there's a nagging sluggish feel to the whole thing. It just doesn't present itself as a game you could get that heat-of-battle rush out of and be completely engaged in. Even considering the acutely tactical gameplay angle, which i can fully appreciate, a war game (esp a FPS) still needs to give you at least a little of that magic 'DIE DIE DIE MU'F*CKA!' buzz. Maybe it will, but I can't help but be a lot more impressed with Dragon Rising at the moment. At least from what i've seen so far.
This game is going to have to much conplex controlls and its going be annoying not gonna be a good game
but look what happened to voice commands in endwar
the crosshair reminds me of desert storm
YA!!!!! Czechslavokia is where its at haters....
The developer sounds like a robot because he's Eastern European and most likely Czech.
This game is not for everyone. It's not for people who want to run in and start smearing bad guys (or players) while bullets bounce off them and grenades cause only scratches. It's highly realistic and very diverse. It's really quite amazing. You can play it as an a sort of FPS/RTS blend, you can play it as a tactical shooter, you can play it as a great single-player team or solo game, you can fly jets and helicopters (in fairly simplified ways, about like Battlefield 2), you can drive HMMVs, tanks, trucks, motorcycles...And the best part is the editor where you can create an amazing array of missions/scenarios. It's benefited from 2 previous games (Flashpoint and ArmA), so it's very bug-free and looks amazing. --The game isn't for everyone, but for those who like military sim action, in a variety of flavors, it's awesome.
@etcbrendan ARMA 2 isn't just going to stay on the PC it will eventually come onto the Xbox 360
This dev. sounds like a robot. Also, it sounds like he might have recorded some of the voices for the game.
Rambo tactics work :D on this game !!
If it takes someone almost 12 minutes to explain how to command units in a game, you know that command system is detailed and thought out. However, it also means that the learning curve is very steep and not very accessible to a majority of gamers.
there are third party software that will allow you to play key bindings/macros via voice commands.
This game, and others like it that are going for realism, as opposed to COD-like games, would benefit GREATLY by voice commands. Really, how hard would it be to integrate it? I would gladly spend 30 minutes to record all of the commands to use in the game - sort of like mapping buttons. Ultimately, what's easier and more realistic - hitting three-button-combos or simply saying, "All, engage target" while pointing at the target? And it would probably sound a lot better than ARMA.
I love this game.
yeah pc only this game kicks azz eat it xbox squeekers
looks great.
on gamespot it says its coming to 360
horible engine sounds of the humvee but looks great
its not 360 game. its only a pc title.
werd.... im with apneic monkey
Why does this say it's an X360 video when the guys is using a PC, Mouse and Keyboard???
This game is fantastic, sooo underrated, with amazing gameplay that is so realistic. The only bad thing about the game is the voice acting. Other then that its near perfectino imo. There has never been a game this realistic. For COD fans and Halo fans, this isnt there type fo game and they will cry because its to hard for them to learn and play.
this looks fantastic graphically, but it doesnt look fun to play at all
Pretty large map...
looks good, but what's with this video?
graphics look really good :D
