The only thing the Ark of Time does for you, is waste your time.

I'm gonna be really short on this one. Allthough Ark of Time is categorized as an Adventure game by GameSpot, it can hardly be called this in reality. First off, it's a point and click game, and because of the limited options there, the game never does anything really adventurous. Most of the time you're just walking from one dude to another, and searching for things to give to one of the dudes. The storyline doesn't make all that much sense either. I don't really recall it, and I've never finished this game, but it had a journalist as a main character, and it had something to do with Atlantis. Heck, for some reason the dude even gets there in no time. There are people who are currently searching for Atlantis, and have been doing so for years, without results, and this journalist dude pulls it off in one day. But, back then, stories weren't really the strong points of games. I didn't get any farther than the entrance to Atlantis, because the game was simply boring. I have a tendency for starting to play the worst games I've got when I don't feel like playing anything, but I never went as far as to pick Ark of Time up again. I played it once, didn't understand anything, played it twice, understood a little more, until I hit yet another dead end. And because it was so boring, I didn't feel a need to get over that dead end. If you're into point and click games, or really into searching for random items for random dudes, then this might be fun. Perhaps. But that's just not my idea of quality gaming. Also, the places to find stuff like that, were just ridiculous. Most of the time it's not even clear what you have to do. And that's really all I have, and want, to say about Ark of Time. You're all better off just staying the hell away from this one.
