Wish they still made games like this.
I find it interesting that i picked up this game and Vampire the Masquerade out of a bargain bin and both ended up being great, memorable RPGs.
This game has flaws but it was interesting as hell. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey and was disappointed when it had to end.
That to me is the mark of a classic.
I find it sad that no more games like this are made. It seems to be considered commercially viable now you either have to make the next "me too" MMO or the next spiffy FPS, which leaves those of us yearning for old school RPGs a bit in the dust.
Although i love Fallout 3, Dragon Age, etc. none of those have the simple charm of games like Arcanum. And although Arcanum does leave quite a bit unresolved it still spins a nice yarn that you will remember for years.
Great game with dated graphics (although the graphics were never its selling point to begin with) I still highly recommend it for those who want something interesting but a bit different.
