Arcania: Gothic 4 User Review
Ok it's not what you'd expected a Gothic 4 to be, but it's still fun!

I could find a million defects of this one and pinpoint them, but it wouldn't do any good. And that's because, all in all, I had fun!
Now what I thought of this game was: they had the budget, but not the concept. first of all, the storyline looks like somebody's out of ideas and tries to prolong it desperately adding more and more mainstream RPG stuff. The fact that there were only 3 basic spells was the most disturbing. every other aspect is ,like, shouting that it's not an open-world RPG.Graphics were good, as in really good. Particles and stuff were really nice in HD. But what mainly differentiates this one from previous gothic games is the fact that it was TOO easy in normal mode. I mean, come on lockpicks are so easy a 3-year old could do it!! Anyway, if you're an RPG fan in general, and have spare time and budget, give it a go!

This is a disgraceful place to see the Gothic series end up in. Completely stripped of everything we loved about Gothic!

Only story and dull voice acting ruin this otherwise classic western RPG

Because of Fraps, the FPS is about 10 FPS lower then the actual gameplay, but still you can see how hardware hungry this thing is. Still, it features great graphics.Posted Nov 13, 2006
