- "Almost, but not quite"
I've played for some time now got to the castle after the bridge. Have to say while game is pretty it feels rushed. Like you find out that your fiancee is pregnant but you have no idea who impregnated her, main hero attempt to kiss the girl gives a little hint that maybe its your baby after all. Then your fiancee all of a sudden just DIES with an arrow in her side.
Its like Diego says - ok, I'll have to take both you and her to the city but she is pregnant so you need to protect her. Next thing you think that pregnant woman can only be a burden in RPG and probably something is going to happen. And yeah, next thing you know - she is killed. But who killed her, WHY - no clue. And while you are bent over the dead body Diego cripples from behind and says - OK LETS GO TO THE CITY... lol
Its almost like they killed her to get rid of her ASAP so Diego could take you alone.
Game lacks a good story, I bet if this game was made by original developers it would be better. I am looking forward to "Two Worlds 2" personally. This game is an ok time killer but not worth the money. Also graphics are a bit sluggish in the middle of the city. They didn't polish the 3D objects well enough. I have top notch PC runs everything like a charm on max settings always.
But here and there is always some game made by barely known developer who can't manage to polish it well enough for flawless performance.
Overall - if you don't have any other RPG you haven't played yet (Dragon Age origins for example, if haven't played - play it for sure over this one) - its an ok for some casual stroll. I think Risen is better though, but I am gonna play this one some more to see if it gets any better which I kinda doubt. So far story was very mediocre and side quests are quite dumb too.

Potential that has not been used. Lovely world - great creature designs but boring skill selection and weak story.

Because of Fraps, the FPS is about 10 FPS lower then the actual gameplay, but still you can see how hardware hungry this thing is. Still, it features great graphics.Posted Nov 13, 2006
