- The Bottom Line:
- "Total letdown"
For me, Gothic died right after the second installment.
3 was a mess, this one is a total letdown :( ...what a shame. I expected so much from this release, I looked forward to it as the one that fixes the mistake that was the third one.
Ohh... at least we have Risen; I liked it and I think it was what Gothic 3 should have been. Looking forward to Risen 2.
R.I.P. Gothic... you will be remembered for 1 & 2.
Seeing some of the new games and how some people review them, I feel so sad about the future of gaming. Developers and publishers are closer and closer to their goal: create a generation of 'gamers' that ingest dumbed down and simplified games, which are easy to develop. I understand this, they want easy money, but they completely forget about the FUN... and I still think/hope a day will come when this kind of approach will turn against such pubs/devs and people will ask themselves 'hey, where is the FUN playing this game? I won't buy this kind of crap anymore!'

P.S.: I don't have the time to write a full review now, but please read taxonomic's review: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/gothic4/player_review.html?id=741374
Thank you taxonomic for your time. Great review!

A total disappointment. This game should not be called Gothic. It shames an excellent the series.

Don't waste your money, Go Buy Two Worlds 2. This is one of the worst RPGs I have played. Worse than Gothic 3.

This is some of the amazing looking enviroments of Gothic 3, now this is not even close to have the highest settings wich I could have them at, but this looks good and runs good.Posted Jun 2, 2007
