A good RPG that immerses you into the story.

It might be hard to believe that there are GOOD RPG's out there that don't have the name Final fantasy attached to it, but its true and Arc the Lad TOTS proves it. I never played an "Arc" game before this so I didnt know what to expect or if the story would keep me involved. As I played it, I found it hard to stop myslef. Story: Its actually almost 2 stories in one. 2 brothers start out fighting on different sides of a "race" war. Humans and monsters. The game periodically switches between the 2 charaters and their comrads to keep each story fresh and also to build to an eventual meeting between all characters. Once they all meet and come to terms, they realize the true enemy of the world and band together to fight him. Graphics: Very good, colorful worlds and battle scenes. Very detailed. Gameplay: Turn based/strategy style (without the boxes). Players/enemies move within a certain distance depending on their agility and attacks. Each charatcer has different abilities (magic, ranged attacks, etc..) that make you set up attack or defense positions in order to achieve the best outcome in each battle. Plus the characters speak to each other during battles to make things more interesting. I must say I was sorry the game ended. I was really into this one and I hope that all future "Arc" games are like this one. RPG's that keep you involved in the story and aren't boring are the best ones and this one is right up there.
