Here is my version:
Arc 1 and Arc 2 can be considered as one game with Arc 1 being the prologue which means 1 + 2 = 3.
Arc 3 is set after both Arc 1 and Arc 2 which means Arc 1 + Arc 2 = Arc 3 == 1 + 2 = 3 which is TRUE. This makes them all equally awesome.
Satisfied?

Gaming paradox - The lower the score the better the game

I can agree with that. I like the first two because of the awesome gameplay and story, but the third really stepped up the gameplay and the more advanced hunter system was highly entertaining. Arc Collection is a daily reminder that the death of Working Designs is a huge loss for the gaming industry.

You could not say it better.
Working Designs was one the companies that actually LISTENS to their costumers.
The type of humour they chose in games is also worth mentioning.

Yeah, my favorite game of all time is Lunar SSSC, but Arc collection and Growlanser Generations are up there as well. Just amazing how high quality the localizations were...doubt we will see another company on the same level as WD.

Working Designs was followed by Gaijinworks but from this:

I think that its presence is slowly fading away.

Take me down from the ridge where the summer ends
And watch the city spread out just like a jet's flame
After the glow, the scene, the stage, the set,
Talk become slow but there's one thing you'll never forget:
You've got to pay your dues before you pay the rent.

XSEED has taken over.

XSEED is boss, but only time and high volume of quality can come close to WD level.

While WD extra's were great they did at times take too many liberties with the script. They would add in a lot of American pop culture references and jokes. Now their translations were still top notch that was distracting.

I miss the days when we actually had to give something a chance to form an opinion. Before the internet changed things.

That is part of what I loved about them though...Lunar was supremely hilarious due to the (dated yes) great 90s references and humour...maybe its just nostalgia but WD never really missed imo.

Dont get excited.

incase any of you guys read this topic, how do you finish Arc the Lad 3?
Im playing the PSN version and i cant change discs and ive searched many places on the internet and i cant find an answer. Is there ANY way at all to change from disc 1 to disc 2 on the US version of this game?
or if it requires trouble, is there a game save anywhere at the start of disc 2?
this is driving me insane

Press the home button on your PSP (it's to the left of the volume controls, in a PSP game it usually lets you quit the game). You should get a menu that pops up with options like quit game, reset game, etc. In there you'll see a switch disc option. Select that and confirm if the game is prompting you to insert disc 2.
Enjoy disc 2! The beginning of it is one of my favorite parts of the game. I honestly enjoy this disc a lot because there's a lot of great character development.
And more on topic, I'd disagree with Arc 2 being better. I find it to be too long and it just really drags in spots. That and the party is just way too big and that doesn't allow for much in the way of character development outside of a few characters. But to each their own because I can see some enjoying the story and gameplay of Arc 2 more and liking the vast choices of party.

that definitely does not work. if you search google for: "arc the lad 3" "disc 2", there are lots of people having the same problem with it.
But, i did find a game save at the start of disc 2. i'm lucky as anything to find that as there is definitely something "wrong" with the coding of this game in regards to disc changing. I'm glad we are the point now that if we need to change discs (only really on the xbox360), it usually always asks us to save before (so even if something goes wrong, you can use the new disc).
