@Perd1t1on Play some of the Tales series, or the old Star Ocean games and come back to tell me how "kiddish" those systems are. What is kiddish is these new games that hold your hand throughout. You get to see the monsters so you can avoid them (run away, run away!). You don't have to traverse areas, you just pop into them (lets subtract 50 hours of play). In thequest to make games "more accessible", developers have pretty much mad self playing titles. As far as the fighting goes, JRPGs have always had a different internal system, they are not based on Dungeon and Dragon die throws, and that is no surprise - they never have been. If you prefer that, look at the WRPGs instead.

I'd rather not see the enemy's health bar, or at least have to use some iten or ability to do so. It really feels more challenging. Anyway, i have high hopes for this game, i think it will be nice.

Dekanis said: "If I could get into a turn-based game I wouldn't mind it, but the ones i've tried haven't been great." If you still have your PS2, try out Persona 3. The only truly annoying thing about it is if the main character dies, it's game over. However the game gives you some ways to cheat death. Plus it's a LOT more fun than FF.

I am glad this is turn-based... if it wasn't and it actually looked exciting I might have been upset that it wasn't coming to Australia. My problem with turn-based battles, is that the first turn-based game I played was FFX, and boy was that just a slow paced, annoying game. If I could get into a turn-based game I wouldn't mind it, but the ones i've tried haven't been great.

well at least this boss looked challenging compared to the last vid. still i'm not liking how every boss uses rainy arrows and how it poisons ya. that will get annoying fast.
