Ah, Ape Escape, a game about catching evil apes who are messing around. At first, you think it's a stupid kid game, but it's not. Even though it did get rated E, the game itself goes deeper than that. And once you've played this game, you'll agree that it is a classic. Read on for more.
Now for a PS1 game, this game has really good graphics, I mean come on, you don't see many PS1 games with good 3D graphics like these. Next, the music is simply second to none. Music for PS1 games is always loved or hated, but this selection of sound is simply awesome. I'd love to continue on about the music, but there isn't any time for that.
As for the controls, simply revolutionary. No longer do you use the D-pad to move, but the dual sticks! This game is the first game to only make use of the dual sticks. All the d-pad does is adjust the camera. The shape buttons, are responsible for which gadgets you can use. So, you can have four gadgets ready at all time, but the beauty of this is that you can have fun with this system. However, you have to progress through the story in order to get the gadgets. Sorry.
And finally, we have the plot. I'd love to talk about the plot, but I'd rather let you experience it for yourself. I promise you this though, it's 100% original and it's got that nice push every now and then to move things along. Well, thats the review for one of the best PS1 games ever made. I hope you try it.

I didn't make this completely but I did edit it so it's more than 15 seconds long. (This video was slowed down) Basically this video shows an worker complaining that the customers are taking the more than one peice of candy from the receipments desk.Posted May 24, 2007
