this game is just plain great. it has endured my constant selling off of games that I get tired of so I can buy new ones for as long as I've had my PS. And yes, I do have Ape Escape 2, which is even better than this one, but the games are basically the same game, just with different massive levels that each contain numerous cheeky monkeys. Ape escape could have the worst graphics that a game could have, but it wouldn't matter. Not to say that the graphics are really that good, cuz they aren't, but the gameplay is so addictive that you get caught up in what you are doing, not what you are looking at. The sound is pretty much just there. There is decent music, but it just kind of blends in with everything else, like BGM is supposed to. The sound effects are alright, but don't get me started on the voice overs. All in all this game is sweet. If you've never played an Ape Escape game, get this one first, complete it, then get the second one. They are both worth it 100%
