Ape Escape, the series we know and love has been a decent series and this sequel is considered by me and even possibly you, the best Ape Escape game ever! Those of you who don't know what this is, it's a game where you catch monkeys(yes, monkeys). Ape Escape 3 is a fun new game that lives up to its monkey catching roots and throws in a lot of new things that make the game fun all over again. One thing is that you have morph forms(Fantasy Knight, Mystical Ninja etc.) to make catching those darn dirty apes easier. The monkeys are twice as smart as they were in the original ape escape games. For one they can steal your gadgets if they get to enraged by you whacking them with your stunclub. This will be especially bad if they grab your net, because it could be you that ends up being caught. You'll go through T.V. shows that are spoofs of movies or shows like Monday the 16th: Nightmare on Ape street and my 36th wedding. Also you can go to a shopping area and buy new RC cars, music, videos and other things to use in journey. Included for you Metal Gear Solid fans is a fun mini-game called Mesal Gear Solid: Snake Escape, which is full of fun and stealth missions. But the worst thing about this game is the camera(curse that camera!) and the frame rate was pretty bad at times too. Overall Ape Escape 3 will prove to be a worthy addition to your collection of PS2 video games and with over 400 monkeys to catch, will keep you playing for hours on end!
Good: Fun mini-games, classic Ape Escape action with new things dabbed in too.
