Why is so hard to catch a monkey with any other light that not red?

There is an unlockable that demands that I must to get my monkeys when they are in yellow light or below.
But no matter what I try, I always catch them with red light.

Do I need some stealth item or anything? Or is it too early?

Do you crawl around? It takes them a lot longer to find you if you crawl.

Yes.you need to crawl and if you behind in the monkey go catch him
