Maybe you won't like my comment but it's a weak game! There are no spectacular effects and the graphics are quite bad! I hope NFS World Online and Hot Pursuit graphics and effects will be better.
the cars arent that slow you just cant drive them faster without them becoming totally uncontrolable.

I had a chance for the beta in an email but it was for computer not ps3 so i turned it down.

APB's a great TPSMMO. However this video's not a good representation of the game for numerous reasons (looks like it's being run on a low-spec machine or with a 32bit OS; it only shows the closing few seconds of what was probably several minutes of gun-play & car chases; there are only 2vs2 players as opposed to any combination up to 20vs20; this is a low population instance so very little other action around; no demonstration of the diversity of & differences between vehicles & weapons). To address Gelugon_baat's point about collision detection, the server shown only allows PvP damage to other players actively challenging you, though apparently 'Chaos' or free for all servers will be available in which any player can attack any other player.

the game is very interesting and cool, is what some players were waiting, a virtual world, but unfortunately the graphics could be seen to be a much better game from EA Games! I'll buy it!
It appears that collisions with cars aren't that well modeled yet; notice that at the last few seconds of this video, one of the players appears to be dragged by a car.
Too many enforcers in the game and not enough criminals!
