An old masterpiece!

I remember when I played this on my Amiga 500! It was the first game ever that gave me that mythical "movie-feeling". Like after you've completed it, it felt like you had just watched a really good movie, only better since you actually played the main character! Such games are hard to find even today!I have not played this game in over 7 years at least and I still remember how it started.

You're a scientist in a hurry to your lab, you get there, something goes very wrong, and suddenly you're teleported to.... ( you guessed it ) ANOTHER WORLD!

(*spoiler-warning*)
The second you're teleported, you fall into a pool of water and these weird tentacles come grasping for your feet so with pure reflexes (if it's your first time) you guide your character up to the surface and into this new strange world and from there on it is all about SURVIVAL!

I LOVED this game. It was trial n error! If this game was made today they would have had a stupid "in-game hint" pausing the game saying "To move character UP press UP on controlstick" spoiling everything! In this "old-school game" all the hint you'll be getting at most is the second you see that outline of a beast in the background before it vanishes again... and then starts chasing you! (I remember still my heart beat went up FAST) You died, you cursed, then tried again, with maybe a diffrent approach. And it was alright! I miss the games that would just "throw you in there" and then it was up to you to figure it out.

The graphics were really good, used polygons i think, like in flightsimulators those days, it had it's own style and the animations were smooth.

I honestly dont know if I can recommend it for someone who did'nt play it "back then". I just have my memories. My score is therefore also based on my first impression.

If you like "old-school" 2D platformers like for instance "Prince of persia" (no, not the fancy new 3D-versions) then you'll likely love this one as well!
Pretty short, but sweet. It's an old masterpiece!
