If I could walk with the animals, talk with the animals...

A GC classic. Animal Crossing allowed you to move to a small town, own a house, and live and work among the resident critters. Dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, raccoons... All kinds of animals surround you. Fish for some spare bells, hang out with the neighbors, plant flowers, write letters. So much to do. My personal favorite thing to do was to go to the taylors, Mable and Sable's. I would make all kinds of unique shirts to wear. Got pretty addicting too. This game would also correspond with time and dates. If it were christmas, and you happened to fire up the Gamecube, expect to receive a couple of gifts. Also pass out a few, or you'll get some grumpy neighbors. If it's halloween, you'll get some trick or treaters, and you better have candy to pass out. Come sundown, the town goes to sleep, shops close, and a new night life begins. Seasonal cicadas play melodies, different fish come out at night, and even firefly shows. If a friend plays animal crossing, have him bring over his memory card and take a train to his town. See his neighbors, visit his home, play with his stuff. Attach your gameboy advance or sp to the gamecube and visit a little island. Even get bonuses by buying an e-reader for your gameboy and buying a few booster packs, usually found at toys-r-us. Bottom line, this game was great for its time. Never got around to playing the wii edition, but I'm sure it's just as good, if not better.
