It's time for the Animal Crossing City Folk Review. For the Wii.

This is the third Animal Crossing game in the series. Let's see how it turned out.

When you start out, you have the option of starting out fresh or importing your character from Animal Crossing Wild World. I highly recommend importing a character, because you will also import your catalog. You can't import your money though.

You'll meet Rover on the bus, who will ask you your name and gender(unless you imported a character). He'll then ask the town you're going to. Once you arrive, you should go to Town Hall. Pelly will show you four open houses. You might want to choose the house near Tom Nook's shop, but you can do what ever you want.

Once you pick a house, Tom Nook will come out(stalker) and ask you to pay off the loan. Like the other games, you have to work for him. After that's finished, you're free to do whatever you want.

Like before, this game is open ended, so you can do anything you would like. You can fish, bug hunt, shovel, socialize, and more. A noticeable feature in this game is that now you can visit the "city" which is more like a plaza. There are some shops, such as Crazy Redd's, a theater where you can learn emotions to use online, the Happy Room Academy(which is now run by Lyle, the insurance guy from the previous game), Gracie Grace, which sells expensive items. The Auction, where you can put up items for auction and people will bid them.(you can do this over Wiiconnect24 as well so it's not just limited to your town.) A shoe shiner will also come on nice days and change the color of your shoes to match your outfit. Shampoodle, you can get your hair changed or even change your head to a Mii's.(however, you can't wear hats or accessories.) Katrina's, where you can get your fortune told(it actually works!) or get a charm told from your town which will give good luck. The catch is, it won't work if you do it, only people from other towns can do it, so exchange charms! They work for one month.

Now, away from the city. Let's talk about other things.

The graphics are really good. This is the best looking Animal Crossing game.

There are two ways to control. You can use the Wiimote alone, or the Wiimote and Nunchuk. I prefer just the Wiimote. The motion controls are also used, but not frequently. You'll use them most when using tools.

There weren't really any camera problems, after all, you have a top-down view of your character, you can also press up on the D-Pad to look up to see balloons flying over town.

A new feature in Animal Crossing City Folk was that you can play online with three other people. You could do this in Wild World, but playing on a big tv screen beats the double DS screen. The game also comes with a periphral, the Wii Speak. You can use this to speak with other people when playing online, rather than using the on screen keyboard, which is difficult.(You can plug in a USB keyboard and use that, which is slightly less work.) You still need friend codes though.

You can visit towns without Wi-Fi. It's called DS Suitcase. You can carry your character on the DS Suitcase, then go to a friend's house and load it up there. Then when you're done, carry him back and load him back up on your Wii.

Overall, Animal Crossing City Folk is a very addicting game. Everything is fun. The only downside was that there wasn't much difference(except for a few exceptions) from the previous game.

In the end, this game gets an 8.5 out of 10 with the title of Great.

As a bonus, I will teach you guys a cheat that will let you duplicate items/Bells. You will need Wi-Fi to do this trick.

First, go to someone's town and bring the items you wish to duplicate. Drop them all in one spot. Ask the host to save, then pick up everything and leave. However, keep pressing the home button as your doing so. Once you accessed the Home menu, press Reset. Load up your file and you'll have the items. Go back to your friend's town and get the items from there(unless you were meaning to duplicate the items so you both have.) This trick will get you very rich. It's also how I got tons of rare items.
