Amplitude is by far the best rhythm game I've ever played. I have Frequency, Amplitude, DDRX, DDRX2 and a couple of others and Amplitude still trumps them all. The graphics have been immensely improved, the songs are ten times better, the difficulties get up to 3 or 4 times harder than anything in Frequency. Power-ups still make completing lines rewarding and challenging, and combos are worth many more points in this as opposed to Frequency, so they feel that much better to obtain. As some songs are only unlockable in the highest difficulty, it makes you want to get better so you can unlock them and play them all. There is also a song editor where you can remix any song thats in the game. The online component may not be that great if you want to play against other people, but it's amazing to go on and see what kinds of remixes other people have made and download them so you can play them yourself! If you have any interest in playing rhythm games, you owe it to yourself to get this game.
