First off the only thing this game has is commen with SSX3 is the fact that they are both based on snowboarding. while the ssx series is a snowboarding game it has no real relationship with the sport, as it is more of a racing title that they decided that you will be racing on snowboards Amped is a realistic snow boarding game that offeres very real gameplay and fun. Amped is very hard for beginners as the landing is very unforgiving and combos are hard to link together. the introduction of the butter system much like the one found in the tony hawk series works well, though sometimes you accidently do it when you are just trying to steer your character. i especially like the style meter which rewards you if u stylishly pull of a simple move rather than going for the largest amount of flips or turns. a great thing about amped is how relaxing it can be. the tracks are so large and expansive that u will rarely find ureself going out of bounds and u can listen to ure favourite songs while slowly working ure way down the mountain. the graphics in the game are very beautiful, with great lighting and a smooth look to it. the animations of the character can sometimes look a little stiff when linking tricks but overall it is a nice package. the xbox live is very fun and offers a nice change to the intense and sometimes frustratingly hard single player allowing for many hours of fun. overall amped 2 is a very good snowboarding game that with a little more polish could really be great.
