Masterpiece of horror, the real, genuine, hardcore horror.
So far I have managed to play 2 times, both during the day, with regular speakers, while my tv was on and all members of my family home and STILL I was sh*t scared. I have never seen such ambient, movement, effects and sounds so well combined but yet so simple looking.
The story, the location and weather and all that together is very well set up to make the game ever more horrific. The impossibility of using weapons and proper defense makes the game so scary, that you can't just keep playing, you gotta pause and calm down.
Using lanterns, candlesticks, all kinds of stuff to block the doors, destroy walls and throw objects is pure horror win. The sanity meter is also perfection, you can't stay in the dark cause your mind will fade away and by the way you're epileptic so good luck with being calm during the play.
Hell, I can't stay calm when I play, I can't even imagine poor Daniel and how he feels..
