Freedom: The only thing that isn't FREE about this game!

User Rating: 8.6 | America's Army: Special Forces PC
Can you ask for a better game. I mean really its free, its got excellent game play, the training is very intensive, and its also endorsed by one of the most pronounced of all the military branches in the world, The United States Army.

The game in itself is extremely intense, not to mention the single player training that will have some gamers punching the monitor a couple times before they beat it. The multiplayer however is outstanding, and provides any gamer with a some-what realistic look into the eyes, hears, and feet of a soldier in various conflicts around the world. The weapons each soldier is able to use varies from the most basic M9 Pistol, that has quite a punch if I do say so myself, to the prestigious Beretta 50.Cal Sniper Rifle, or the M82A1A. While the weapon set is outstanding the Special Forces aspect allows the user to have a pre-set of a standard M4 Carbine with special Modifications added on to it that can be used in certain servers if they have a rifleman position in the squad.

The Squad based tactics are truly what make this game addictive, more than once will the player find themself being shot at to turn and see the enemy who was just shooting fall to the ground. Why you ask. Because you are part of a team and members of a team look out for eachother. This and complete cooperation when it comes to completing objectives is what makes this game simply irresistable to any gamer with a PC or MAC capable of downloading and running this game.

Which brings up another point. Clans, yes clans, if the user is one of those people who loves to make friends and play with the same people every time they log on then anyone will find this to be a very painless process. I would personally say that there are a boat load of clans that will be visible due to there servers. All you have to do is log on, get on one of their servers and start playing, usually a little address will pop up, you go to it and sign up. Now that is if you enjoyed your gameplay with that particular group of people, but for the non-consistent gamer, you can play alone whenever you feel the need to let out a little steam.

I give this game very high marks, because after all it was FREE. Therefore it should get all tens because to be quite frank, it has surpassed the free bar of adequacy, and entered the realm of an actual store bought product as far as quality goes.
