This game is a waste of time and resources. Better get AAO2 if you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After the pre-load and huge anticipation the time and date has come, but nooo, you need to download another 1-2 gigs for the game to play (via steam). Alrighty then, trying to download "steam is 2 busy, try again" tried 2994 times, switched server, either it wasnt working or the speed was around 100kb/s. In any way, after 4 hours I finaly had the game in full. Logging in, create account "auth server not available / responding". Try that a couple of hours and you get so pissed that you try it out the next day. Evereything worked fine, then the training mission starts. After one or two completitions I get shooted back to the main screen and lose all my stats (and my created soldier!). When you try to log in again, "auth server in maitanance"... I come to this point today where I played only training missions and had lots of fun repeating them and creating soldiers and fighting with several other game crashing, alt+ctrl+del, hang ups and hard reboots (and no, my rig is not outdated). Searching on other forums the reaction is the same, if there is anyone for whom the game worked perfectly, I envy you, but as an AAO player from day one (I still got the 1.2 version on cd !), the only thing back in 2003 I think was punkbuster was introduced, there where no such HUGE problems and the game was free back then as well... poor game and the gfx are not the best either. Very dissapointing.
